Kindergarten Feast Day

The kindergarteners at OCCS have a special way of celebrating Thanksgiving. Check out all the fun ways they celebrate together and have a happy Thanksgiving!

One of the highlights of Kindergarten at OCCS is Feast Day! Weeks of preparation go into the big day. Vests, headbands, necklaces, drums, and various table decorations are just a small part of what makes this day special.  We enjoyed time playing our drums and ribbon dancing.

We were also able to reflect on the blessing the Native Americans were to the Pilgrims on the first Thanksgiving. Having our moms come and make us a meal of pancakes and bacon is another treat for the day.

Mr. Kroese even stopped by to join us in our feast!

However, the biggest blessing we have on Feast day is the fun of sharing a meal with our friends and reflecting on the amazing gifts God has blessed us with. We have the opportunity to share our blessings and recite Psalm 100 together.
